Richard’s 40th B-day

0332.jpgOkay, so I enjoy reading blogs, but I feel there’s not much interesting that I have to write about in my life…except maybe students and school.  I’ve determined those subjects really have very little interest except for a limited audience.  However, my mom (who thinks I’m brilliant as all mothers think their children are) encouraged me to write a blog.  Of course I’m not even certain she knows what a blog is, but  since I’m attempting to grow in her a spirit of admiration for technology I’ll attempt it.  Then perhaps, she’ll actually try to surf the web.

This week Richard will celebrate a milestone in his life.  He’s turning 40.  Last night we had a little “party” to celebrate.  Basically invited a few people over and ate.  The ladies stayed upstairs and chatted.   The very elderly men spent the evening in the basement playing with Travis’ Wii….a must for all 40 year olds’ birthday parties.

Happy Birthday Richard! I’m glad that you are the first (of you, Traci and me). It’s so much fun to give you grief! Thanks for helping with the 2/3’s today. They love their “Uncle Richard”!!

Richard, you simply cannot be 40! If you’re 40, then I must be getting really old. Hey, wait … I AM getting old! I actually have former high school students who turned 50 last year! Yikes!

Hope you have a great birthday and that Traci spoils you rotten, which I kinda think she will.

Traci, I’ll have to check in on your blog. You’ll be surprised how easy it will be to find things to post once you get to doing it.

Both of you young things take care! Remember 40 is the new 20 … or something like that. ;-)

    Richard,

I have to agree with Carol. If I have to turn 40 this year, at least I know that you turn 40 first!

I hope that your Birthday was very special and that God will bless you all year.
